Formerly, the press machine of an air clutch type was the main stream. However, in order to control the flywheel that carries out high-speed rotation, the burden of the clutch brake was large and caused many kinds of failures.
Meanwhile, AC Servo Press – the FSP series of completely new clutch-less type, which united “A Solid Body Frame and Servo Technology”, was developed newly by GMT. The trouble is prevented with its simple and highly rigid structure, realizing highly durable design.

Its compact and clean appearance also makes the factory environment refreshed. Furthermore, several merits, such as improvement of the press accuracy, a free motion setup and so on, are generated.

CONVENTIONAL AIR CLUTCH TYPE PRESS

  • It was able to use only by 60 to 70% of load of nominal capability.
  • At the time of inching operation, etc., vibration and noise of the
    press machine itself by ON-OFF of a clutch or a brake were extremely loud.
  • It had only the single motion.
  • As the motor was always rotating, power consumption was high.
  • It has been used only as a press machine of a single substance.
  • Processing noise and vibration were big.
