A Foundation for Modern Manufacturing
The foundation for GMT Engineers was established in 1988 as a strategic collaboration between M/s. Ganesh Machine Tools and M/s. Engineers & Enterprisers. For nearly four decades, we have served as a vital link between global engineering excellence and the Indian shop floor. Our headquarters in Chennai features an 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse and Tech Centre where we maintain a permanent stock of machinery for live demonstrations and testing.
Visionary Leadership Across Three Generations
Our company is a third-generation family business built on the foundational vision of the Late Mr. VK Bhaskaran along with his son, Mr. BS Prasad. Today, GMT Engineers is led by Mr. BS Prasad, who continues to guide our growth and strategic direction while instrumentalizing the transition of South Indian MSMEs to the future of manufacturing through his protegees. We have helped hundreds of manufacturers modernize their facilities by moving from manual processes to fully automated CNC bending, high-speed stamping, and precision fiber laser cutting. Joining this leadership is the third generation, Sneha Prasad, who serves as the Director of Marketing and utilizes her MBA from Hochschule Hof in Germany and over a decade of corporate experience to scale this nearly 40 year legacy.
The Seniority of Our Team
While technology drives the machines we supply, the expertise of our people ensures their performance and longevity through maintenance. The strength of our service is rooted in the stability and seniority of our team. Our service department is led by Mr. G Niranjan, an industry veteran with 35 years of tenure at GMT Engineers, ensuring that our technical standards are grounded in decades of practical field experience. Supporting this leadership are specialized experts including Mr. M. Madhan, who manages our bending technology service with 22 years of field experience, and Mr. J. Vinoth Mahimai Raj, who leads our CNC solutions service with 21 years of field experience.
This seniority is consistent across our core divisions. Our sales department is headed by Mr. A Manoj Kumar, a leader who has been with GMT Engineers for nearly 30 years. This stability extends to our regional branch leadership, where our heads of sales have dedicated more than 25 years to the company across regions.
Our head of presales, Ms Vinodha, also brings in over 30 years of experience to GMT Engineers. With nearly 30 percent of our total workforce having served for over a decade, we maintain a level of institutional knowledge that is rare in the industry. This long-term commitment allows our staff to undergo continuous factory-level training and evolve alongside the technologies we supply. The longevity of our team is a direct reflection of the pride our staff takes in representing the GMT brand and our commitment to providing a stable, expert partnership for our customers.

In addition to our work with Yangli, we maintain a strong partnership with Hans Yueming Laser to provide advanced cutting solutions for high-precision industries. We also offer a specialized range of fabrication and metal forming machinery under our own GMT brand. This diverse selection ensures that we provide the specific production engines required for any industrial application.
