GMT Press Brake machine performing precision metal bending on a factory floor.

GMT Press Brakes:
The Definitive Standard in Metal Bending

Where Profit is Secured or Scrapped.

Bending is the defining moment of metal fabrication. It is the stage where a flat sheet transforms into a structural component—or a pile of scrap. If your press brake lacks structural rigidity, no amount of operator skill can save the part.

At GMT Engineers, we treat bending as a science. Whether you need a simple NC Machine for general fabrication or a high-end Yangli CNC Bending Machine for precision components, our machines share the same DNA: Zero-Deflection Frames, World-Class Hydraulics, and Local Service Support across South India.

NC & Conventional Press Brakes

The Heavy Duty Series

For fabricators who produce standard brackets, simple profiles, or repetitive single-angle bends, an NC machine delivers immense power and reliability without the capital expense of a full CNC setup.

The Capability:Features our highly efficient HPB-S model equipped with a Servo Drive for precise, energy-saving ram control and reliable torsion-bar synchronization.
Ideal For:MSMEs, standard fabrication, and repetitive batch production.

The Future of High-Volume Folding: CNC Panel Benders

If you are manufacturing steel doors, elevator panels, electrical enclosures, or steel furniture at mass-production speeds, standard press brakes will eventually bottleneck your throughput. Our fully automated CNC Panel Benders eliminate the need for heavy manual lifting and sequential tool changes. The machine automatically rotates, flips, and folds the sheet metal, delivering massive output with just a single operator.

Our Advantages

Why a GMT Press Brake?

01

The "Zero Deflection" Frame

A press brake is under immense stress. Cheap machines "yawn" (the frame opens up) under full load. For our machines, absolute rigidity begins at the engineering stage. Before a single plate of steel is cut, the entire frame is designed and analyzed using advanced 3D software like CATIA. We run multiple stress test simulations to guarantee the exact dimensions required to absorb maximum bending tonnage. Once fabricated, the frames undergo a dual stress-relieving process—first to kill internal welding stress, and a second time to eliminate internal machining stress. Finally, we finish the frames on imported CNC Floor Boring Machines to ensure absolute geometry for decades.

02

Hydraulics Tuned for South India

We use robust hydraulic power packs and elements designed to withstand the heat and duty cycles of South Indian workshops. Whether it's the Servo Pump in the HB Series or the heavy-duty cylinders in the HPB-S, we prioritize consistent tonnage over cheap components.

03

Superior Parallelism (Even in NC)

In standard NC machines, if the hydraulic oil flows unevenly, the beam tilts. While other machines rely on a standard torsion tube mounted using ball bearings or bush bearings—which are highly susceptible to wear and tear over the years—our HPB-S Series solves this with a robust mechanical Rack and Pinion synchronization system. This hardened structure creates an unbreakable physical lock between the left and right cylinders, guaranteeing that if the left side moves 1mm, the right side moves exactly 1mm. With this setup, we can guarantee absolute parallelism well beyond a decade.

04

Curating Global Technology

Since 1988, we have served as the trusted bridge between world-class machinery manufacturers and South Indian fabricators. We don't just supply equipment; we supply certainty. Every press brake we import—whether from our esteemed partners at Yangli or our custom-specified GMT lines—undergoes rigorous due diligence.

Frequently Asked Questions

01What is "Crowning" and do I need it?
When you apply 100 tons of force, the center of the table naturally bows down slightly. This causes the bend angle in the center to be open (e.g., 92°) while the ends are perfect (90°). CNC machines come with Crowning systems that push the center up to correct this automatically. If you bend lengths over 2.5m, you absolutely need Crowning.
02Why is your NC machine better than local assemblers?
It's in the Torsion Bar. Local machines use simple links that wear out and cause the beam to tilt. We use a Hardened Rack & Pinion system instead of the torsion tube. It's expensive to build, but it ensures your machine stays parallel for 15+ years.
03Should I buy an NC or a CNC Press Brake?
The "3-Bend Rule." If your parts typically have 3 or more different bends, buy a CNC (HB or KBC). The setup time on an NC machine for complex parts will kill your profit. If you are bending 1000 pieces of a simple 90-degree angle (like a slotted angle), you can begin your investment with a HPB-S (NC Press Brake).
